What is an Electrical Planning Report?

An electrical planning report provides information on:

  • Existing electrical demands, including all equipment, systems, and loads currently drawing from the shared electrical infrastructure.

  • An estimate of peak electrical demand and remaining spare capacity, helping identify how much room is left for additional uses.

  • Projected electrical capacity needs to support future demands such as electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, heat pumps, and other energy upgrades.

  • Recommendations for managing and reducing demand, such as optimizing load distribution or installing energy-efficient solutions like LED lighting to free up capacity.

The report assists Strata corporations in understanding their electrical infrastructure and capabilities. This is to align with the current demand for EV charging as well as for future demands that may arise.

The completion of the report is essential given the evolving energy landscape. The CleanBC Roadmap to 2030 outlines a strategic commitment to ensuring that electric technologies become 100% efficient.

We at BES can help to create a report that can be used by corporations to plan for a more sustainable future.
