ENERGY SPECIALIST

BES are seeking an Energy Specialist to join our consultancy team.

The role involves supporting a range of commercial, industrial, and institutional clients in identifying and delivering energy efficiency measures and carbon reduction strategies. This role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to client sites.

FULL TIME | OFFICE BASED

Responsibilities

  • Conduct energy audits and building assessments to identify energy-saving opportunities

  • Develop carbon reduction roadmaps and decarbonization strategies

  • Support planning of electrical infrastructure upgrades related to energy and sustainability projects

  • Analyze energy consumption data and utility profiles to support project recommendations

  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for clients and funding applications

  • Liaise with utility providers and assist clients in navigating energy incentive programs

  • Work collaboratively with engineering and sustainability teams on multi-disciplinary projects

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or related discipline).

  • Familiarity with energy efficiency technologies and building systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software is an advantage.

Preferred Assets Include:

  • Full Canadian driver’s license preferred.

  • Experience conducting energy audits and preparing technical documentation.

  • Understanding of FortisBC and BC Hydro incentive programs and processes.
