Our team at BES are able to assist BC Hydro customers in receiving a feasibility study as part of their incentive program.

The incentive is open to large commercial, health care and industrial customers.

For customers who are looking at optimizing their facility systems, a feasibility study can be completed to help them with the first step.

A feasibility study provides a comprehensive analysis of what options may be available to upgrade existing systems to high efficiency alternates, switch to renewable energy powered equipment and reduce costs. The study will also include opportunity costs so that customers can make informed decisions on how to move forward with their project.

The incentive can cover up to 100% of the costs; saving you money towards your project.

Energy opportunity projects covered include:

• Energy-efficiency improvements

• Low-carbon electrification

• Demand-response participation

The study is 100% funded for energy efficiency opportunities over 200,00 kilowatt-hours kWh per year, or a total demand of more than 100kW.

50% of the study is funded for those between 25,000-200,000 kWh per year or a total impact of 25-100kW.

The program is aimed at those looking to reduce energy consumption, increase energy efficiency and reduce GhG emissions

Commercial customers with an annual electricity consumption of a minimum of 2 gigawatt-hours (GWh) can be eligible to apply.

For energy efficiency or electrification projects, the energy opportunity must be a minimum of 25,000kWh per year, with demand response projects being a minimum of 25kW.
